New Half Life 2-Source DirectX 9 Effects Trailer
Filefront.com has a file up using Bit-Torrent that is ready for download. The file currently comes in at 116 MBs.
Mirrors will be posted in this thread as they become available. Here's what FileFlash says: "Valve has released another high-res bink video showing off the Source engine and all the great Nvidia stomping Direct X 9 effects that Half Life 2 will show off. You'll actually hear the money in your wallet crying out while the video is playing." 3dGamers: "This trailer demonstrates high-dynamic range rendering, diffuse + reflective bumpmapping, and soft shadows in two minutes of super-high resolution footage." Overview: The view includes just walking around the rooftops of City17. The video doesn't show off gameplay, but rather demonstrates the graphics ability of the engine, mostly of which looks to be bumpmapping slapped onto just about everything.
